George, Avid already ships (and has for some time) an NT based editor which is getting good marks. MCXpress is aimed at the low-end pro video and corporate communications markets. It can offer genuine real time effects and 2:1 compression (I think this is called AVR 77 but I may be wrong on this). Version 1.5 is the currently shipping version. See Avid press releases for more information: avid.com And, I remember some kind of press release relative to MCXpress and Truvision from a while ago but I couldn't find it when I went looking to include its link here.
