I think the company's claims may be a little exaggerated, part of the propaganda war being waged in the press prior to the Governments IMT-2000 decision.

At 1.25MHz channel, cdma2000 1x EV will
support data transmission at 5.2 Mbps and at
5MHz, the speed could be boosted up to
15Mbps, the company claimed.


But it brings up an interesting point. If HDR can support up to 2.4 Mbps in a 1.25 MHz channel, what could the same technology do if allowed to use a 5 MHz UMTS channel?
