Wayne,

I have found the following formula to be very helpful in
finding issues who's Bollinger Bands have narrowed:

For Metastock:

((4*(Std(C,20))/Mov(C,20,S))-
Lowest(4*(Std(C,20))/Mov(C,20,S)))/
(Highest(4*(Std(C,20))/
Mov(C,20,S))-Lowest(4*(Std(C,20))/
Mov(C,20,S))+.001)*100

After you plot it, put a horizontal line at 10.

Then use the crossover of the 10 line.

I use it in conjunction with the slope of the regression as
I told you in a previous post. Give it a try. I think you'll
like it.
