I would suggest that East Germany did not go through tremendous political instability, bordering on revolution. The view that I favor regarding China's transition to capitalism is that China is making every effort to avoid the tremendous political instability, bordering on revolution. I'll have to consult history in ten years to see what happened. There are two or more posts on the Singapore move that may help answer your front door question. Cheers, Mike
