Herbvic, every cpu that AMD and Cyrix/IBM sells make them profits to do R & D that will attack Intels share. I think they will cut the prices to dent margins to AMD et al for the foreseeable future.
If they do not get new faster ones in the pipeline they are in trouble.
Think cars and GM/FORD/CHRYSLER and then think in a 6 month obsolescence instead of 2-3 years.
Same thing. Foreign cars broke the big three from that habit by making cars that lasted for longer and did not rust out.
Now there is nothng to stop Intel, she must keep running at full speed or die and never pay the huge foundry costs off.
Tiger by the tail is apt.
