AIG and BAC at loggerheads over prior $8.5B settlement with 20 something plaintiffs. AIG holding out for $60B. Hearing expected to be settled in a few weeks. Yeah right. NY Fed deeply involved. BAC has an option to bankrupt Countrywide if it loses. Interesting joust. Money on the line. BAC stock not terribly worried yet. AIG stock shows little reaction.
