I must say that there has never been a more glaring buy signal than the "prose" on this board. When Maurice capitulates, it is time. These terrorists are not new. We have been The Great Satan for a long time. Biological weapons are not new. I held cultures of anthrax and botulism organisms in my hand 15 years ago--easy to get, easy to grow, haven't seen any epidemics yet. Mustard gas was a favorite in WWI--widespread nerve gas attacks haven't happened yet. Every country will have its economic pains, and most will cure them. Doom and gloom, sky is falling, economic panic are the new rallying cry--nuclear destruction by terrorists is the worry of the day--so be it, but this too shall pass. Meanwhile, those who invest in companies will still do their homework, dig through balance sheets, compare price to intrinsic value, call suppliers, distributors, competitors, etc. Perhaps they will get their Pentiums radiation hardened, have a big bottle of penicillin close at hand, and wear a gas mask, but they will continue with their investor duties! |
