Getting back to the last mile, see the following article I borrowed from Individual. I once spoke with a venture that wanted to do this in the same tower location, using the dominant cable co provider in the area as the local access connection. Oh, Well...

A while back Siemens Nixdorf along with Pyramid Tehcnologies put in something similar in a number of apt buildings in NY called FreeBeeTV. I've not heard anything new about FreeBee in about six months. Anyone?
