OT > Wal-Mart to Offer Apple’s Pre-Orders for First Time I'm off to MegloMart right now to pick up an item I ordered online last night. I tried to find it at the store yesterday and gave up. I knew it was the wrong thing to do but I tried anyway. O2 Cool 5" Portable Battery Operated Desk Fan - we are having a humidity wave here in San Diego, global broiling and all that... Where oh where would it be in the VAST aircraft hanger of Walmart in Chula Vista. I knew it was somewhere... sports? nope only the 10" there, I need small, Office supplies, one would think so since its a "desk fan"... nope, hardware? where one employee pointed me? nope. Gave up. You have to know when to fold them... : v ) Anyway I should have known. I thought about ordering it before I went but the thought of waiting in the customer disservice line clouded my judgement so I will go back and wait today, and anyway I have an item to return I forgot yesterday. Now if I can only find a parking place within a mile with SHADE. I HATE parking lot designers. They seem to take pleasure in planting trees in areas where they can never provide shade for cars. It all looks nice on the computer in their air conditioned offices right? Getting into a car that has been sitting in the Sun's Anvil for 2 hours is hell, even if you use a sun shade and have air. In any case the sleeping GIANT of Wallymart is ever so slowly waking up to the advantage they have over Amazon and their legions of vendors. The fan was almost 50% cheaper at Wally and since I'm picking it up there is no postage charge and I get it today, when I need it most. Now if they can only realize what they have, and kill off Amazon. Sigh, lesser of two evils. I resisted the dark side until I needed a really good car battery. I sometimes work way WAY out in the boonies. No one is even close to the quality/price of Walmart car batteries. I threw in the moral towel after years of resistance because of a car battery.
