Yeah, some heads are going to roll at the Times. And, like all organizations, they will fire some little guys and cover up the managers who should have been doing a better job of supervising them.

I was not aware of the "National Desk" organization. Now that I understand it, I think it is a mistake. They take these top guys and put them on the road permanently. A little more AP use would be in order, IMO.
