Anecdotal stuff. Was running around doing some errands this am. Was in the Apple store and picked up a superdrive for a MacBook air we bought a couple of weeks ago. Back end of the store was busy. Not too many people around the iPhones or iPads. Lots of people getting laptops set up as well as at least 1 iMac. Saw 1 person getting an iPhone at the store. All in about 15 minutes. Went into the Verizon store to talk to the rep there about some of their plans in case we decide to switch from ATT to Verizon for our personal cell phones. There was 1 person there getting a 4S. She was previously using a Samsung feature phone. The Verizon store wasn't very busy but while we were there, the rep told somebody that the earliest iPhone 5 delivery had dropped to Sept 26. The lady that was getting the 4S was saying that her husband may be coming in for the iPhone 5 at some point in time. I emailed the communication people at my company and asked when I would be available for the new fully subsidized iPhone 5. I am still waiting on an exact time but I was told mid to late October. But I was also told that they were very busy because there were a lot of people looking to upgrade to an iPhone 5. Neal
