Question:

Why would LSI take part in trying to intermingle VCD and DVD? It seems as though it would be the same as making VHS and beta work on the same machine. It sounds like a good idea, but it also seems as though people will stay loyal to a certain technology or format once it has taken such a strong foothold in the local economy.
