right, my point being that using absolute #'s can be misleading. when i look at those COT #'s i see a trend reversing. i notice many on the CFZ threads follow these #'s, yet most are playing a tank here. if the COT's are right that often, shouldn't most be lightening short positions?

for me, the COTs don't help that much because i am more short term oriented than their predictive validity allows. the fundamentals are rancid, the news is awful, but other than some listed stocks, there's not much out there that i would short. the FED and wall street have all their ducks lined up and there is no way i want to fight this battle on their turf.
