Paul, I don't think there's anyone on this board who wouldn't agree that Intel is a much larger company than AMD, with much greater market share, and, over the past decade or so, a much better reputation.

The point is, as an investor, what are the recent trends?
Is AMD's rep much better than a year ago? Is Intel's worse? Is AMD gaining market share? Are they more competitive?

Slogans like X-compatible (X being Intel in this case), are arguably 'lagging indicators'.

Even at today's prices, AMD is still doing well Y-o-Y. Intel... isn't.
