Can anyone recall comments by IJ concerning Dot Wireless, or was anyone around when the founder, Rick Kornfeld split QCOM?

"In 1986, he joined Qualcomm, holding various technical positions, including vice president of engineering. During his 10 years there, Kornfeld helped the company grow from a 20-person start-up to a world leader in telecom."

Or Ana Weiland?

"Ana was a part of Qualcomm's high-volume production of CDMA handsets. She was the project engineer for Qualcomm's first commercialized CDMA cellular phone (QCP-800) and first CDMA PCS phone (QCP-1900). Ana later became vice president of engineering at Qualcomm where she oversaw all CDMA subscriber-unit engineering developments. The instantaneous success of CDMA opened up a whole new facet of wireless technology standards, triggering the onslaught of many wireless start-ups in the San Diego region, including Dot Wireless."

dotwireless.com

The web site cryptically suggests only one product - "ellipsis" - with no description or technical specifications at all.

TXN was willing to blow 500 mil (stock swap) for Dot.

Anybody know the poop on Dot or its founders??

regards,
blg
