Maria Bartiromo on FBN just interviewed the newly appointed Opinion Editor. Their convo centered on the LA fires and CA state and local government obstacles to reconstruction. What a failure. Just the debate over whether to waive permitting fees, which can be $30-$40k to rebuild homes lost through no fault of their own (vs. elective, like a kitchen remodel), has lasted for a year without action.

Publication launch is on Jan. 26.
