Evidence is mounting that inflation is coming back. Energy is the obvious one, and many companies are increasing their prices simply to adjust to increasing energy prices. This is having a cascading effect, and most companies find they can increase their price without a big drop in sales. The transportation industry is especially affected. Airlines are being forced to raise their fares or go out of business. Currently gold and other commodities are going up in price. I don't understand how a decade of low interest rates could possibly not have high inflation involved. If someone knows I'd be happy to hear them.
