Bill Gates has invested $100 M in Teledesic. Microsoft, corporately, is not an investor. (see teledesic.com ) Craig McCaw and Boeing are also major investors in what has been termed "the Internet in the sky," which is hundreds of orbiting satellites providing low-latency, high-bandwidth Internet connections to every part of the globe. They plan to be operational by 2003.
