It's kind of funny. I came on as a non nuke MM and they were out of people but all of the junior folks checking on had to spend 90 days being a mess cook. Well the COB after I had been on for about 3 weeks said I know your in your division but we need mess cooks and I think you should do your tour. I said sure. About 3 weeks later I was labeled the CMS by the head cook. Crisis Management Specialist. About 3 weeks after that I wasn't washing dishes anymore I was helping him cook. I really had a blast. A very fond memory of my early times. One of the reasons the guys really enjoyed those nights when I would cut loose in the kitchen:) Here is today's chili. Very good and meaty. Message 23399440
