I feel like the fourth ( or fifth) visitor needing the Wizard of Oz. "If....if only I had a memory......."

I remember seeing Siskel and Ebert review the film at length. They were also completely amazed at the physical skill of the performance. The image of the smoking really stuck with me, as the mannerisms were exactly as would be natural. The make up - man, it was just sokme something.

But I didn't realize Chaney did 150 films. I bet maybe Alexa knows. SHE has a memory. (Might be MINE.....)

It's one of the wildest things I've seen. And yah, self-flagellation maybe, first, ~ or like, an Indian rope-burn.

Or watching Love Story with her.
