Jack, I think Kerry MIGHT have picked up some votes, especially if he can perform like that in the next two debates. All the 527 ads have portrayed Kerry as a vacillating idiot and I think tonights performance could change that opinion with some voters. I think there's some comparison with the 1980 election. Before the debates a lot of people thought Reagan was a warmongering doddering old fool. In the debates he turned that perception around 180 degrees. I think Kerry may have done the same sort of thing for his image tonight.
