Ibexx, I agree. This is a classic: "let the small investors get real worried, let them sell, and then the Big Boys will buy-in at bargain basement prices". I've seen this so many times that its almost second nature to me now. To make this work, all the Big Players need is an excuse, some reason to cause some worry. Well, AMD's K6 fits the bill nicely. Sure, Big money can come in at any time and support the price of the stock, but they continue to let it decline so they can buy at even better prices. This only works to a point, though, since they also don't want a crash either. That is why I think Intel's stock is near a short-term bottom (so is csco as well). Ibexx, you notice Intel's volume these past few down days has been below Intel's daily averages? Folks, if Big Money wanted out we would be seeing 20-25M volume days.
My advice to those who don't have money to average down: sit tight, be patient, stock will be going back up within 1-2 months. For those with idle cash: Christmas in Spring.
