I don't understand why individual investors would dwell on this or why this should affect your long-term investments. We could also step out in front of a bus tomorrow or win a lottery. Why worry? The last three times the world was coming to an end (1987, 1990, 1994) I was a net buyer of equities...mostly Intel and Compaq. I invite you to check out what happened to those two stocks since then.

There is NO evidence that TA can predict price movements. I don't know what will happen to Costco stock price in a week or a month...but I'd be willing to bet the farm that I'll get at least 3 or 4 farms back in the longer term.
