Patrick, while I agree with your bearish point of view for 1999, I think it is possible to levitate the market higher for a few more months with lower interest rates, promises of capital gains tax cuts, and repeated small bailouts where necessary. We may test the highs again. But after a while bandaids will no longer be adequate to stop the bleeding and the bear will return.
