The GOP has taken a billion dollars in bribes from the very regulated businesses which have ripped us off most since 2001 for trillions of dollars. Energy, predatorial lenders, Pharmas, Insurance, timber and mining (destroying countryside), guns and tobacco (the death business), big arms (pushing for needless wars) etc.

As a former fundraiser for Kerry I can tell you we were 100% ethical and never would take a dime from anyuone who wanted anything in return. Still in a large campaign there are always conmen who buy their way in and pose with the candidate to try and make themselves look successful. It is impossible to know their motives until later on. Such is the case of the Chinese man. He certainly didn't tell anyone who he was what he was doing when he was raising money. No reflection on the candidates he gave to whatsoever. But the Bush industry money definitely comes with tit for tat rules. Very costly ones.
