Here's another company that has a two year lead over GVIL in its new market...

OneBOX to Demonstrate Its 16-Port, Wire Speed, Self-Learning, IP
VLAN Network Segmentation Switch, with ATM OC-3 Uplink and
Multiple LAN Emulation Functionality

LAS VEGAS, NETWORLD+INTEROP, BOOTH #1814, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- OneBOX Networks Inc., the Extranet
Connectivity Company, will be demonstrating the ON-516A, Fast Ethernet IP VLAN switch, with a powerful, dedicated
processor based, ATM OC-3 uplink capability, at Networld+Interop, May 5,6 and 7th in Las Vegas. The ON-516/A
features a 5 Gbps backplane, 16 auto-sensing 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports that can all be driven at 100 Mbps full-duplex
simultaneously (maximum wire-speed). The ON-516/A supports comprehensive network management, including a Java,
Web-based Manager, SNMP, HP Openview, Microsoft Windows NT, and RMON (all 9 groups).

''By supporting transparent mapping of up to 64 IP Virtual LANs (VLANs) with 64 ATM Emulated LANs (ELANs) at
wire-speed, the OneBOX ON-516A is the fastest and most effective segmentation switch in the industry,'' stated Michael
Leigh, Executive Vice-President/ Sales & Marketing at OneBOX. ''Thousands of network users in dozens of different physical
locations can be dynamically regrouped onto their own VLANs, regardless of physical location, while still taking advantage of
the speed and efficiency of a flat network topology.''

OneBOX's ATM OC-3 implementation on the ON-516/A model features multiple LAN emulation (ATM Forum's LANE
protocol specification 1.0) with support for up to 64 simultaneously active LAN Emulation Clients (LECs) to support dynamic
mapping of the 64 IP-VLANs to ELANs over the ATM fabric, using one LEC per VLAN. UNI 3.0/3.1 Variable Bit Rate
(VBR) for connectionless ATM Adaptation Layer (AAL5) service is also supported.

The Ethernet/Fast Ethernet, half/full duplex, auto-sensing capability allows plug-and-play migration from legacy shared
networks and can fully accommodate the inevitable future requirement for wire-speed 100 Mbps IP network switching on all
16 ports simultaneously.

The ON-516A supports up to 64 subnet IP VLANs; Java-based web browser network management interface with SNMP
and RMON support. The ON-516A features throughput capability of up to three and a half million packets per second on the
switch side and full 155 Mbps OC-3 support over the ATM uplink.

''The ON-516A is the newest member of the OneBOX family of wire-speed switching solutions,'' stated Michael Leigh,
Executive Vice-President of OneBOX. ''It provides the intelligence and performance of high-speed IP VLAN switching
required in today's network environments, yet allows robust LAN backbone or WAN Extranet connectivity via the ATM
uplink. It is also uniquely easy to operate, including its intuitive management, almost automatic configuration of IP VLANs and
monitoring of performance.''

The ON-516A features port, and IP-based VLAN support. The ''Configuration Assistant'' provides a built-in IP auto-learn
function, plus a point-and-click user interface, that together simplify and facilitate the effective configuration of IP-based
VLANs.

Network management and configuration is also greatly simplified by the Java-based graphical user interface. The ON-516A
can be directly managed, without any additional software, using any PC equipped with a popular network browser.
Alternatively, the ON-516A can be managed directly from an optional HP Openview network management station to access
the SNMP agent built into the switch. It has extensive RMON diagnostic capabilities supplying all nine RMON groups.

With a small IRU footprint, this ON-516A provides optimum performance, cost-effective segmentation switching and ATM
connectivity. It starts shipping in June for under $10,000.

Founded in Southern California in 1996 and venture-funded in 1997, OneBOX is the Extranet Connectivity Company -- the
first to provide powerful, integrated networking solutions that simplify Intranet and Extranet deployment. OneBOX is shaping a
new class of ''all-in-one-box'' network solutions featuring tightly integrated LAN-WAN wire-speed routing, multi-media
(voice, video and data) network access and connectivity, with never seen before management simplicity and compelling
price-points. OneBOX sells its products through global OEMs, Communications Carriers, Internet Service Providers, leading
solutions-oriented Systems Integrators and International Distributors.
