The antenna is the L-3, which has a retail of $2,999, not $2,199.
There is also a $200 option, a SAT/TV switch.

All I was trying to say is that they shouldn't have to cut their internal margins to get this win, due to the non commodity (lack of other viable competitor) nature of the product. You guys know the discounting side better than I do.
Of course, they will also get a cut of the service revenue each month as the TracNet gets used by the customer. At say, at dime a minute (I think it is probably higher than that), if the customer uses the service just 1 hour per day, 5 days a week, that translates to over $130 per month per customer. Not too shabby. And, if the person spends more time than that, the monthly revenue is even higher. |
