RNC Pulls Ads for McCain in Wisconsin and Maine

Mary Jacoby reports on the presidential race.

The Republican National Committee pulled its television ads supporting Sen. John McCain off the air in Wisconsin and Maine, suggesting GOP strategists are doubtful about their presidential nominee’s chances there.

The Associated Press reported that the RNC will now concentrate its $10 million ad budget on Colorado, Indiana, Virginia and Missouri, where analysts still see the race as a toss-up. Brad Todd, a spokesman for the RNC’s independent ad expenditure unit, wasn’t immediately available for comment....
