Or if a stock is run up on small orders often someone with a position will just toss a block out there with a limit on it... stops the stock. IMO there is no magic, every situation is different... however I agree that there is money to be made by watching how a stock acts and 'playing' it. The trick is to not lose all your gains when the game suddenly changes.
