I think we both feel more knowledgeable about different parts of this debate, which on its edges in my opinion must include social pathologies in general and the criminal justice system., as well as constitutional issues. You are certainly more familiar with guns themselves. Perhaps that's why it seemed we were not really talking to each other. As I said before, I have no problem with you, Alex, having guns, and actually consider my views pretty moderate. I guess the only other thing I would add is that I have heard the police publicly discussing how they are out-gunned, and seen documentaries on it, and they emphatically don't believe they have adequate weapons. I have no idea why our information on this issue is so different, because I know we are not trying to mislead each other.
