Oh, chill, Freddy!!! I am simply relieved to finally read that you do not support the institution of slavery. Thank you for actually saying it--I am a little thick. Truly, there are Americans who would like to revisit those times, and since I take everyone seriously until someone makes it clear they are not, I appreciate the clarification. I am not about hate-mongering, and I am disappointed to realize you do not know me well enough to realize that. There are many fine things about Southern culture that I am attracted to also, having a granddaddy from Biloxi, Mississipi and everything, and it is clouded for me by the whole issue of slavery and is a little difficult for me to sort out. You COULD just bear with me and realize I am seeking answers but am sometimes confused, and be a little gentler with me. I would really like that, actually. There has been an edge in all your communications with me for several months, and it hurts my feelings.
