Sounds like you had a wise Dad. I had a similar experience. Never stole gas, but the neighbor kids threw rocks at me while I was taking out the trash. I went down and got my wrist rocket sling shot and a hand full of marbles. I lobbed them over at the kids and got one. Next thing I know a cop shows up at the door and takes my slingshot. A year later my Dad gave it back to me for good behavior.
