Anyone look at their local mortgage rates lately? They have been moving up here. 6.5% plus half a point for a 30 year fixed conventional. Even the adjustables are running over 5.5%, plus points. That goes a long ways towards explaining the drops, especially in refis. Yup, housing recovery right around the corner...
