SLP-T (PHPI) Heads-up for Tuesday. Up 65% on Friday on unusually high volume. This company (Scintilore)is the plaintif in a large (could be >$200MM) civil lawsuit which has been going on for at least 3 weeks in a Toronto courtroom. They are suing prospectors Larche and MacKinnon for all benefits (past and future) that they receive from the 1970s gold discovery at Hemlo. I think there are about 25MM shares outstanding, so a win of $100MM is worth $4/share (compared to current price of .66). You can easily guess what a loss is worth! The case is scheduled to last from 4-6 weeks. I'm not sure if there is any chance to appeal, as this has been in the courts for more than a decade. Its next to impossible to get any information out of the company, especially these days.
