George J. Tromp did you see the article in the National Post last week discussing the SEC's crack down on stock promoters on the internet. 44 persons have been charged with various manipulative practices such as spamming. The point I found interesting was that the Feds were against stock promoters hyping stocks without disclosing their involvement with the company,i.e were they receiving anything for touting the company.

Its not so long ago that this thread featured a stock promoter. Again I have no problem with stock promoters so long as they are upfront about their relationship with the company. Manipulative trading practices in the long run are a detriment to all the junior mining companies. Post BRE-X the industry is basically viewed as a leper colony to bring the small investor back into this sector we need the Feds to be vigilant in their fight against the misuse of the internet. The small investor is going to be a key to turning this sector around.
