Yeah, who do you think you are? Even to think for a second that you deserve the same benefits and they deserve the same costs is incredulously vain of you. They are, after all, THE government and we are merely the money providers for them. Surely they deserve more and better benefits than the "common" people. Remember they do allow us to vote for them periodically. It's not as if they are tenured like teachers. They actually have to compete for their jobs every 2, 4, or 6 years or get appointed to a front row seat on the gravy train.
