Shege, the truth is that I don't have any opinion on consolidation in this segment because I don't understand it very well. I like to add value when I can in a forum, but not in one that I don't feel confident in making a useful response in. I am interested in learning about how Vantive, Siebel, Remedy, and others operate and I try to get a 'big picture' idea of how their software might affect the productivity and efficiency of businesses in general. Having no experience in implementations or sales of these products makes them 'vague' to me when comparing them--especially if understanding the real value of Siebel or Vantive over Clarify or Scopus. I am aware of their market successes, financial performance, stock momentum and trading patterns as well as information read from various publications, company releases, analyst reports when possible, and insightful commentary in this forum. When I find some public research or analysis that I think might be of interest and value here, I post it if this hasn't already been done. |
