If after new laws go into effect should one likely expect a change to take place?

I posted for the ten year period after 1920; not one year.

Granted, England has a lower crime rate, they always have regardless of the number of guns in private hands.

And the rate has gone down since 1920; ours has gone up dramatically from an already high rate in 1920. Why?

Switzerland has a high number of guns in private hands and their crime rate is even lower than England.

They are military weapons as part of their standing Army. I have had several friends who were Swiss. They're whole take re these guns is very different.....its for the defense of their country, not to rob a bank. Its hard to explain the difference in perception.
