It lowers their utility bills and reduces pollution from a lot of generation derived from fossil fuels.
So would heat pumps. So would better insulation.

Kind of stupid to add solar panels to a home that has piss-poor insulation. The homeowners would be spending what they saved on utilities by increasing the thermostat during the winter, or cranking up the A/C during the summer.

Those solar panels aren't keeping their kids warmer during the winter, at least not directly. Nor are they keeping kids cooler during the summer, at least not directly.

Like I said before, lower income homeowners (and renters) need more basic home and apartment renovations.

Solar panels are nice, but they have NOTHING to do with "climate justice" or whatever the eco-socialists want to preach.
