i still remember the movers reaction. the same guys moved us to albany then back to ct. then to cherry hill area. when they arrived at the house in ct. the same time we did and i put the sign up i told them to pile most of stuff in the walk in basement its all going out again.

I got relocation call while the furniture was half loaded on the moving truck. i was surprised the phone was still in operation. I had thought the job fell through as i wanted to stay in ct job and finish what i had put in motion. corp had other ideas. New boss wanted me to unpack and stay in albany area and not go through with closing the next morning. I told him his ethics stinks.( nice way to start a relationship with new boss.) he wanted to screw the seller, lawyer and real estate person to save a few bucks. Let them sue in his opinion , that would be someone else's headache.. I refused went back to same town(had a big house party , invited old friends from old neighborhood, new neighbors, realtor, work folks,

Danbury ct was in the middle of a union carbine relocation to area from nyc, housing had gone out of sight and i missed it all, in couple of months it costs me a fortune to buy back a similar house. Housing was going up a $1000/$2000. a week at the time. nothing on the market or builders promising you new housing deliveries and everyone living in hotels as none of them were coming through, back orders on all kinds of housing supplies.
