Rave on, Dipy. You're making the assumption that all Republicans are soft or that they all are somehow intellectually challenged. You are wrong. Pendulums have a way of trying to move back to where they came from; you should be wary of the fact that a lightning-rod leader took the moral high-ground and did what was best for his party. Who will the media turn their venom on now that Newt is gone?

Your hero, on the other hand, does only what is best for himself.

You assume also that the idea-less moral relativist Clinton is some kind of a leader, when in fact, with the duplicitous mass-market media, all he has done is fool some of the people most of the time. His party insiders are letting the Barney Franks and media darlings divert the attention while they fight over the campaign debt they have built up. It isn't a pretty sight at the state and local levels where politicians have to actually meet their party operatives and constituents face to face.

Time will tell. Perhaps the US will rediscover its conscience.

Mr. K.
