hcm, about a year ago I reinstalled Win98 twice from a Compaq 'restore CD'. It was fairly painless. And, you get rid of any unneeded files on your hard disk. So I consider full reinstall a positive event. Some people on this thread create drive images and can do a clean install in less than an hour. Ask if you're interested.
