That's why billionaires dump their wealth into "Foundations"

You have to have profit to pay the rent and utilities.

Where I grew up we had a $5 health clinic. Not for profit. But paid for 99% by tax dollars.

Nothing is free.

That said, for basic care, that clinic was great. No one went there because most workers has really good health care as part of their wage and benefit packages. I could walk in off the street and see the Doc. He was old and retired and did it for his patients...but he was good. Reagan destroyed the unions in conjunction with Congress and wall st. The only significant unions left are gov't types.
