Re: The Hispanics are well integrated, the Asians are.

LOL! If so, when are you going to vote for your first Hispanic President? Or how about an Asian-American President? Jesus Ramirez, President of the United States of America! William Xu, President of the United States of America???

Re: Instead the multicultural thing is more pronounced in Europe particularly with the immigrants from North Africa.

Europe --that is, the European Union-- is currently made up of 27 member states, and that's 27 different cultures, almost 27 different languages! The EU also comprises 4 different religions --Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodox Christianity (Greece, Cyprus) and Judaism. Yet, the attempt in 2004 to insert in the EU draft constitution an article about Europe's Christian roots was aborted.... So, tell me, if it were just a matter of "culture" why are Europeans so reluctant to extend the EU to Muslim Turkey and North Africa? Of course, part of the reason is cultural and religious --actually, the fear of radical Islam is a way for Europeans to rationalize their anti-Arab racism. After all, that's why Christian immigrants from black/sub-Saharan Africa are lumped together with Muslim Arabs: Christian Congolese, Senegalese,... are not better integrated than Muslim Arabs --quite the opposite. Most Arab immigrants are usually better off and enjoy a higher status than black immigrants.

Re: europe does not have history of slavery.

Sure, but it does have a history of colonialism. Somehow, Europe has unwittingly resumed its past colonialism at home. Europe's overseas colonialism of yore is being enforced anew domestically....
