Thanks for posting that, Rob,

Wow, what a puff-piece interview!

"Gosh, Dr Cowpland, Corel Corp is so darn amazing and wonderful! How exactly would you characterize your wonderfulness??"

A couple of questions I might have asked:

"So, Dr Cowpland, are you familiar with the idea of profit, or are revenues pretty much the only goal of a public corporation?"

"The street has noticed that you lurch drunkenly from one random idea to another: Video, NC's, Java, PDA's, Mac CorelDraw, etc. Is it true that you don't have the patience to pick a business plan and stick with it for longer than six months?"

"Your incredibly shoddy initial releases of CorelDraw 4, 5, and 6 have basically shot yourself in the foot in the corporate world. What makes you think you can regain your credibility there after so many years of buggy & bloated releases?"

"During the most fantastic bull market of our age, your stock has sat like a bump while the rest of the market has soared. Have you considered any actions that might promote shareholder value?"

"Now that you're backpedaling on the much publicized move to Java, which other heart-felt corporate strategies should we expect to see dropped soon?"

"Dr Cowpland, have you considered bringing in any adults to help run the company? Or have you considered an extended leave of absence? Maybe a nice five-year break from the strains of the corporate world?"

Annoyed but still long,

-- Pete
