Isn't this analogous to the concern about processor speed and software? For years people have been saying that we simply do not need these speeds - yet they are always used when they are available and shortly thereafter, we want more speed. Bandwidth will be the same I believe. Services will be built to take advantage of what ever bandwidth is made available. Let's face it, there is a HUGE pent-up demand for more bandwidth. For many individuals this isn't the case - all they're interested in is email and chatting for now - but for businesses and a growing number of users like us, we are starving for more bandwidth. To us, $50-60 month for a fast connection is NOTHING! I don't think we will see a glut at all.
