JAPAN'S SOFTBANK TO ENTER TELECOM, JOB PLACEMENT SECTORS biz.yahoo.com TOKYO - Softbank Corp shareholders, at a general meeting yesterday, approved changing the company's articles of incorporation to expand into several areas, including telecommunications, broadcasting, and financial securities and job placement services. ''We want to do business in every industry related to the Internet,'' President Masayoshi Son said. He also said he met Tokyo Governor Shintaro Ishihara regarding the formation of a bond market for small and mid-size companies. Softbank will provide human resources, technology and know how to help create such a market.
