More of the deal from the Waterhouse Web Broker IPO page. The way I read this is that if you don't reconfirm within 4-6 hours of receiving the e-mail notification, you are out of luck. Hope that they send out the notice at a time when most of us have access to our e-mail. A customer service supervisor told me that stock would be sold on a first come, first served basis (reconfirmation) on the basis of what you ordered. In other words you either get what you ordered or you don't get any. Has anybody heard it the same way or gotten a different story from Waterhouse?

Important Information - Reconfirming Your Conditional Offer
Upon the registration statement being declared effective by the SEC, we will contact you via e-mail to notify you of the effectiveness of the registration statement and the price as determined by the managing underwriter. This normally occurs on the day prior to the first day of trading.
You will then be required to respond to us on the date that we contact you (usually within 4-6 hours of receiving the e-mail notification) to reconfirm your previously submitted Conditional Offer if you still wish to participate.
If you fail to reconfirm your Conditional Offer, your order will be automatically cancelled.
Conditional Offers are accepted at the offering price, determined when the registration statement becomes effective.
Please note that reconfirming a Conditional Offer does not guarantee an allocation of shares.
