Pinky and The Brain syndrome.
In an Armed Forces Magazine article calling for redrawn borders in the Middle East and Africa (an entire continent), retired General Ralph Peters shows how deluded the neocon agenda is. One of the neocons' hegemonic aims is to "remake" the Middle East...as recently stated by condi rice. Peters agrees. The problem is he also says, "Of course, no adjustment of borders, however draconian, could make every minority in the Middle East happy." armedforcesjournal.com
His use of the words "however draconian" is a bit unsettling to say the least. These people are all about the draconian and don't flinch from draconian measures.
He also goes on to clue us in on just what these draconian measures will include by saying, in a paragraph all by itself, "Oh, and one other dirty little secret from 5,000 years of history: Ethnic cleansing works."
And the plans for Iran; "Iran, a state with madcap boundaries, would lose a great deal of territory to Unified Azerbaijan, Free Kurdistan, the Arab Shia State and Free Baluchistan, but would gain the provinces around Herat in today's Afghanistan — a region with a historical and linguistic affinity for Persia. Iran would, in effect, become an ethnic Persian state again, with the most difficult question being whether or not it should keep the port of Bandar Abbas or surrender it to the Arab Shia State."
So make no mistake, conquering entire regions through warfare and dictating what will exist in the aftermath is, by definition, that always crazy goal of literally ruling the world. |
