Maybe it's marriage itself that's the problem; they did better without it.

That's a joke, by the way.

I have no idea what happened to that couple, but would hesitate before using it as any kind of example of --anything. Every relationship is unique. So many of my friends from college married right out of college and were divorced in a few years; a number of my sons' friends were in mixed families; others raised the kids and then divorced. Marriage in the old fashioned sense is under far greater societal pressure than that by the gay community.

They are both well-employed and support probably won't be a problem.
